In response to these challenges, various non-governmental organizations (NGOs) have played an important role in providing social welfare services and supporting vulnerable communities. This research study examines the contribution of Saylani Welfare International Trust in poverty alleviation and its role in promoting prospects for a stable economy in Pakistan. The study analyzes key initiatives undertaken by Saylani Welfare, including food distribution programs, healthcare services, educational support, vocational and IT training, and employment generation schemes. Through these initiatives, the organization aims to empower underprivileged individuals by improving access to basic necessities and enhancing economic opportunities. The research highlights how such welfare programs help reduce poverty, improve living standards, and contribute to human capital development. Furthermore, the study explores the broader economic implications of charitable and welfare organizations in strengthening social safety nets and supporting sustainable development. The findings suggest that Saylani Welfare plays a significant role in complementing government efforts in poverty reduction and socio-economic development. The study concludes that expanding similar welfare initiatives and promoting collaboration between the government, private sector, and non-profit organizations can contribute to long-term economic stability and poverty alleviation in Pakistan.
Dr. Ahmad Raza, Mohsin Javed Copyright (c) 2025 https://joqs-uok.com/index.php/ihya/article/view/253 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 An Analytical and Philosophical Study of Social Protection Measures during the Khilafat-e-Rashida https://joqs-uok.com/index.php/ihya/article/view/247
The era of the Khilafat-e- Rashida represents a golden period in Islamic history in which the principles of the State of Madinah were practically implemented. During this period, comprehensive and well-coordinated measures for social protection were introduced, firmly grounded in the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah. This system was based on justice and equality, the protection of human rights, and public welfare, and it proved to be equally beneficial not only for Muslims but also for non-Muslim citizens. During the era of the Khilafat -e-Rashida, initiatives such as the establishment of the Bayt al-Māl, the institutionalization of Zakat and charitable systems, care for orphans and widows, relief activities during times of famine, and the protection of non-Muslim rights played a vital role in promoting peace, stability, justice, and social harmony within society. Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA) laid the foundation of social equality by enforcing the system of Zakat and adopted a firm stance against those who refused to pay it. Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) transformed state administration into an institutional framework, strengthened the Bayt al-Māl, and launched large-scale welfare initiatives, including agricultural reforms, canal construction, and public development projects. Hazrat Uthman Ghani (RA) ensured economic growth by promoting trade and commercial activities, while Hazrat Ali (RA) further consolidated the principles of justice and equality and introduced significant judicial reforms within the state. These measures hold exceptional relevance in the contemporary world, as the need for social protection systems and welfare states is strongly felt across the globe today. Modern societies can greatly benefit from the principles of the Khilafat Rashida, where fair distribution of resources, care for vulnerable segments of society, and the enforcement of justice and equity were ensured. In the present era, challenges such as poverty, class division, inequality, insecurity, and social injustice demand urgent solutions, making the adoption of the Islamic welfare state model a critical necessity. The social protection system established during the period of the Khilafat-e- Rashida was not only exemplary in its own time but remains highly relevant even today. These principles and practical efforts serve as a model for nations worldwide, demonstrating how a society founded on religious and moral values can guarantee the fulfillment of basic needs for all its citizens. Therefore, this study will examine the robust social protection measures implemented during the era of the Khilafat-e- Rashida, which continue to serve as a practical model for the modern world, and will highlight their contemporary relevance. The research adopts an analytical, deductive, and descriptive methodological approach.
Dr. Saad Jaffar, Hadiqa Atif Copyright (c) 2025 https://joqs-uok.com/index.php/ihya/article/view/247 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 A Research Review on The Days of The Week in Islamic Thought https://joqs-uok.com/index.php/ihya/article/view/252
Time is one of the great blessings of Allah Almighty, on which all aspects of human life are based.
