Hazrat Abdullah Ibn-e-Mas’ud was a great companion of Holy Prophet (PBUH). He was also known by the Kunya Abu Abdulrahman. It was not long before Abdullah Ibn-e-Mas’ud became a Mulsim and offered to be in the service of the Prophet. Abdullah Ibn-e-Mas’ud remained closely attached to the Prophet. He would attend to his needs both inside the house.He was known with the title of Saheb-eNalaen o Siwak o Sawad. The Prophet once said about him, at the dawn of the calling to Islam “You are a knowledge youth.” The Prophet also said about him“whoever wants to recite the Qura’n the way it is originally revealed, and then he should recite it as the way of Ibn-e-Umm-e-Abd, recite. The Prophet had always desired to make Ibn-e-Mas’ud a leader of men. During the period of first pious caliph Hazarat Abu Bakr he was an important member of government and during the reign of Hazrat Umar, he was sent to Kufa to educate the Muslims, where he established a Madarsa. In first half of second century of Hijra, Abdullah Ibn-e-Mas’ud Madarsa becaome the centre of Hanfi School of thought
