Freedom is a term which is supported by almost everyone in West as well as East. But the concept of freedom in West is quite different from the concept of freedom in Islam. Concept of freedom of West challenges the authorities of religion, therefore this concept of West is not accepted by those states and societies where authorities of religion is consented because in this concept wisdom is given authority over religion, whereas, in Islam wisdom is considered as a tool or equipment and authority of Islam cannot be challenged by wisdom. In the following article this concept of west has been briefly discussed to learn that how much this concept of west opposes Islamic concept of freedom. Views of students of mass communication of KU which are soon going to be in media, have been presented. Also, a short view of Imam Ghazali over this has been stated.
