The upbringing of youth in the light of Surah Yusuf

Abstract

The Holy Quran focuses on building up the moral character of human beings as the first revelation has pointed out the startup of human study with the name of Almighty Allah for development of life by education. Several surahs in the Holy Quran like surah ­Mumtahinah, Ahzaab and Hujuraat raise some specific issues of the human attitudes to be flourished. Surah Yusuf is one of these surahs which has distinguished theme for schooling and upbringing of the human attitudes. Many aspect of this surah has been discussed and pointed out by several scholars, but according to my knowledge, the education of youth’s life has not been analyzed by scholars. So, I have raised the upbringing points for youth in this surah. I have acquired the descriptive method in this article; firstly, I have given basic theme of several verses having same idea. Then, I described the titled theme in the light of the relevant verses. Adding more, wherever I felt any point needs for supporting evidences or interpretation from Hadith, I provided it with providence of reference from primary sources. This article lights the path for  youth to decorate their lives in the light of surah Yusuf and this will increase in the research based thematic study of the Holy Quran.
