Abstract

Allah Almighty created human beings and did not leave them without guidance after their creation. Rather, He sent the Prophets and guided humanity through divine revelation (Wahy). To protect mankind from the deception and misguidance of Iblis (Satan), Allah provided guidance through revelation. However, the enmity of Iblis and his progeny against the children of Adam is evident. In this hostility, their primary objective has been to sever the relationship between humans and their Creator. The foremost strategy in this effort has been to disconnect humanity from the Prophets and divine revelation. For this purpose, not only did self-serving individuals commit the heinous act of altering previous divine scriptures, but they also attempted to turn people away from the final divine book, the Qur’an, whose preservation has been guaranteed by Allah Himself. In this context, the Orientalist movement, under the guise of education and research, propagated the claim that the Qur’an is not a divine revelation but rather a composition of the Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him). In this paper, we have demonstrated that no human composition can compete with divine revelation. Furthermore, although Orientalists consider the Bible to be a collection of divine scriptures, a comparative analysis of the Qur’an and the Bible establishes that the legal system of the Qur’an is superior to that of the Bible.
