FUNDAMENTALS OF SOCIAL WORK IN ISLAM AND IT’S IMPACT ON SOCIETY

Abstract

Islam is complete code for life and covers every aspect of life whether it is social work, politics or economy. It has been identified in this study that for Muslims, social work is not an option but obligation and part of their faith. The study with evidence proved that Islam had laid down a strong system of social work for a healthy society only if someone chooses to follow it. Considerable research has also found that Islam instructs its followers to help people in any capacity. They can help them without considering their religion, cast, ethnicity or race of a person. This study concluded that by implementing Islamic system of social work in its true and complete form. It shall have positive impact on the society and shall help in creating a society based on equality and social justice.
