Abstract

Allah, The Creator of universe has linked the welfare of the mankind with Islam. Islamic welfare state is a state which is governed by teachings of Islam. In an Islamic welfare state, all minorities have equal rights than Muslim residents like, protection of life and property. Minorities are free to practice their own religion as long as they show respect to other citizens. One can say that minorities, in an Islamic welfare state can enjoy all basic human rights.
Minorities are given many special rights in an Islamic Welfare State, for example after the death of a non-muslim citizen government can neither sell their property to pay unpaid jizya nor can it pressurize the relatives to pay it from inheritance. Islamic welfare state provides equal legal protection and punishments under the law to the non-muslims than the Muslims while protecting their honor and dignity. In addition to helping minorities with charity, this is the responsibility of an Islamic state to support completing the needs of its needful minorities. This is the responsibility of an Islamic welfare state to ensure the implementation of minority rights in accordance with the teachings of Islam.
